My name is Don Axford and my wife’s name is Bev. I am a professional engineer, retired from Atomic Energy of Canada. My wife has been a homemaker during our 49 years of marriage. We have 3 living children and 12 grandchildren who live in Canada, the US, and West Africa. We are both Canadian senior citizens. We are born again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and seek to serve Him wherever we are. For more information on what it means to be a born again believer see here Heaven and here Eternal Life – What is it and how do I get it?
We love to travel and explore God’s creation. For the past 10 years we have travelled throughout Canada and the US in our 5th wheel trailer. Previous to that we tent camped and over the years have visited all 10 Canadian provinces and all 50 US states. Our trips to Alaska in 2005 and to Hawaii in 2010 completed this. We have also travelled to Africa, Europe, and Oceana and in all of these explorations have taken many pictures some of which we wish to share here.
We have a home in the Ottawa area in Ontario Canada and this past fall purchased a winter home in Hurricane Utah.
Since spending the past 5 months in Utah we have been able to do quite a bit of hiking. One of the things we have found is that many of the hiking trails are not well documented and this is the reason we have decided to place some of this information online.
