This is a trail to the summit of the Broken Mesa with nice views of St George on a clear day. It was a bit hazy when we were up there.
There are also great views of the Pine Valley Mountain.

Getting There
If coming from the north, take exit 10 from Interstate I15 turning right onto Green Springs Drive and then immediately left onto the West Red Hills Parkway. Drive 1.6 miles and turn right onto Twin Lakes Drive which heads straight north.
If coming from the south, take exit 8 from Interstate I15, turn west onto St George Boulevard. Stay in the right lane and turn right at the first intersection onto N 1000 E. Drive up the hill and turn right at the light onto the Red Hills Parkway. Drive 0.8 miles and turn left onto Twin Lakes Drive which heads straight north.
Keep straight ahead. The Twin Lakes Drive becomes the Old Dump Road and then the Cottonwood Road. At 5 miles from the Red Hills Parkway there is a junction to a turkey farm. Take the left branch. Drive another 2.2 miles to the parking lot for the Broken Mesa Rim Trail.
Road Condition
The road running north from St George is washboard gravel and is quite rough. Approaching the trail there are a couple of very rocky hills to navigate which requires a high clearance vehicle.
The Trail
The trail rises about 600 feet to the rim with many switchbacks. The return distance is about 6 miles.
