Johnson Canyon – Snow Canyon State Park

This trail is one of the nicer trails in Snow Canyon. Johnson Canyon is beautiful with a large free standing arch. When we travelled the trail in March there were a large number of frogs seranading us. The trail is closed annually from March 15 to June 1.

The Trail

The trail is flat hard packed sand for the most part. It traverses part way along a deep impressive canyon and then turns into Johnson Canyon which ends in an impressive high box end. At certain times there is significant water flow out of this drainage system.
