The Virgin River Trail is a paved bike and walking trail following the Virgin River from Hurricane, Utah, through Washington City, Utah, and into St George, Utah. The total length of the trail is 3.7 miles one way.
This is very pleasant walk along the Virgin River and is a popular biking path.
This can be done as a complete route or in three separate sections: the Hurricane section, the Washington City section, and the St George section.

Getting There
This trail can be accessed from several locations: in Hurricane from the Country Way Street off of the Washington Dam Road, or from the County Landfill Road; in Washington City, from the southern end of the Washington Parkway, or from the Soccer Park off of the S Washington Fields Street.
To access the trail from Washington City, take exit 13 from Interstate I15 and travel south 1 mile along the Washington Parkway to where it ends at E Telegraph Street. Cross E Telegraph and park in the dirt parking area just beyond. To access the trail from the Washington Fields Soccer Park, turn right onto E Telegraph and travel 1 mile to S 300 E Street (Washington Fields Street) and drive south 1 mile to the Sports Park. Park at the east end of the Sports Park near the trail.
To access the trail from Hurricane via paved roads, take exit 16 from Interstate I15. Travel 4.8 miles to the Sand Hollow Road and turn south (right). Travel 4.8 miles to the Southern Parkway and turn west (right). Travel 3.3 miles to the Washington Dam Road exit and turn right. Travel 1.0 mile to Country Way Street on the right and travel 0.2 miles to the bridge over the Virgin River. Turn left after bridge and follow the dirt road 0.3 miles to the start of the paved path.
To access the trail from Hurricane via an off road track, take exit 16 from Interstate I15, travel 0.9 miles and turn right onto telegraph Street at the traffic light. Drive 1.8 miles to the Landfill Road on the left. Take this paved road 1.3 miles to a sharp right turn. After a further 0.3 miles veer onto a dirt track heading south. This will take you to the opposite side of the Country Way bridge. From here turn right and follow the track 0.3 miles to the start of the paved path.
Each section of the trail is about 1 1/4 miles long for a total one way distance of 3.7 miles.
From the parking area across E Telegraph Street from the end of the Washington Parkway to the trail junction is 1/2 mile down a relatively steep dirt road. From here the east section of the trail is 2.4 miles return. The west section to S Washington Fields Street is 2.6 miles return. The section from S Washington Fields Street to N 3050 E Street is 2.6 miles return.
