Sullivan’s Knoll is a large cinder dome which is a prominent landmark in Hurricane Utah. You can either climb to the top of the knoll or as in this case hike around the base of the knoll. From either the top or from the base of the knoll you have excellent views of the surrounding country.
This is a moderately strenuous hike with many traverses of gullies on the south side.

Getting There
From State Street in Hurricane take 1760 W south to 400 S. Turn south on 1530 W and travel up the hill to the end.
You may need permission from the developer in the large house just before the end of 1530 W as you have to cross a fence to access this area.
The Trail
There is no distinct route around the dome but head towards the east side of the dome and circle the knoll in a clockwise direction returning to the starting point.
In addition to crossing the fence at the start you will need to cross an electric fence and then a wire fence on the west side of the dome.
Here are some pictures along the trek.
